FAQ
How do you test texture on an authentic card?
Modern RR+ cards have embossed texture (ridges to the touch). A smooth card at a rarity that should be textured = major red flag.
Is centering a counterfeiting indicator?
Bad centering exists on authentic cards too (factory). But very asymmetric borders + faded colors + suspicious back = suspicious combination.
How to check the card back?
Compare with a known authentic card from the same set: back blue, Pokémon rosette and logo sharpness. Fakes often have blue that's too light or blurry.
Are marketplace purchases safe?
Mostly yes if the seller has good ratings. Beware abnormally low prices on chase cards (Charizard SIR at -50% market = red flag).
