Common questions
How do I find a Pokémon’s cards here?
Click a character in the grid: you get every TCG card from the Pokémon API, catalog Amazon boxes from matching expansions, and links to each card for pull expectations.
How is this different from the Cards page?
Cards starts from a specific card name (free search). Here you start from the Pokémon — handy for “all Charizard cards” or “what can I pull for Lucario” without knowing an exact edition name.
Are all Pokémon in the game listed?
No — we cover the most searched TCG characters (Pikachu, Charizard, Eevee, recent legendaries…). The list grows over time; if yours is missing, the Cards page still lets you search by name.
How are cards fetched on a character page?
rateTCG queries the community Pokémon TCG API with the character’s English name. Art and rarities come from that dataset — not an official The Pokémon Company pull list.
What are the boxes shown on a character page?
ETBs or bundles in the rateTCG catalog whose expansion includes at least one card for that Pokémon. Opening the box doesn’t guarantee that character — for one chase card, open its card page from the grid.
Are the pull rates official?
No. Expectations on card pages are modeled by rateTCG (booster structure + set rarities). The character page mainly lists existing cards and linked sealed products; numbers live on each card page.
Why two names on some tiles?
The API search uses the English name printed on cards. We show the local name when it differs (Dracaufeu / Charizard) so you find the right character even if you think in French.
I want one specific card of this Pokémon — where do I start?
Open the character page, pick the card in the grid, click through: per-box expectations and Amazon links. The pull calculator helps if you want a budget number.
Characters, Rarities or Expansions — which page?
Characters = by Pokémon. Rarities = understand tiers (SIR, ex…). Expansions (/set) = whole set at once. Cards = global search. Use whichever matches your question.
