Why Hyper Rares are so hard to pull

The rare+ slot dedicated to top-end pulls is small, and several different Hyper Rare cards can share that pool. Result: the chance of one specific Hyper Rare is very low — often far below a Special Illustration Rare in the same set.

In Mega Evolution–style sets, community models often place Mega Hyper Rare around roughly 1 in 80–120 packs (order of magnitude, not an official rate). With only a handful of candidate cards in the pool, targeting one chase Hyper Rare can mean hundreds of packs on average — which is why volume (ETB, bundle, multiple boxes) matters more than opening a single blister.
